Dog walking service usually involves giving the walker a key to your home, so he or she can pick up the dog while you are at work or on a trip. Dog walkers sometimes bring in mail or water plants as well.

- A 15- to 20-minute walk usually costs between $15 and $17 for one dog.
- A 30- to 40-minute walk usually costs between $18 and $22 for one dog.
- And a 40-minute to an hour-long walk usually costs between $22 and $27 for one dog.
- Most dog walking services do not price by breed, just by number of dogs. As many as three more dogs from the same household, or neighboring homes, can usually be added for about $10 or half price each.

- Hiring a non-professional to provide dog walking can be much cheaper, but it is important to use caution. Possible ways to find a non-professional dog walker include putting up fliers, asking neighbors and putting a classified ad in the newspaper or on Craigslist.com[4] .

- Find a good dog-walking service by contacting your veterinarian, groomer or local humane organization. Or, do search for your city at FindADogWalker.com[5] .
- PetSitUSA[6] provides a checklist of questions to ask a dog walker.
- Most dog walking and running services require a get-to-know-you meeting with a dog. Some companies also require that the owner sign a form stating that the dog has no history of aggression.

I am a dog walker in the tri cities. I've rescued 2 Black labs from neglect and abuse so i know how to deal every kind of dog. When i walk i dont lack and i, most of the time if you ask will play with the dog in the back yard fee free because i believe when you put your hard earned money into a dog walker, they should do everything they need to, to make sure the dog gets amazing care and love. Kara is a wonderful, caring sitter who stops by to care for my dog whenever I am out of town. She also walks my dog twice a week $20.00 for a 30 minute walk. She brings my dog special treats, plays with her, and my dog just a does her. I like the fact that she is an insured professional and not a neighborhood youngster. I pay Nicole $10 for a 15-30 minute walk. She also dog sits for $15 and hour. Although she is 12 years old, she is very responsible, dependable, and trustworthy. Especially when I have to work afternoons. |

She carries water, gives them treats, reinforces training and has designed services that meet our needs. She has a strict no cell policy because she engages our kids and talks to them. No extra charges and with the love and attention she gives, we'd pay her whatever she wanted.(don't tell her)We love that she's aware of any changes in behavior, cuts or scratches and let's us know asap. She's cheerful and serious about partnering with us. She's a keeper! |

Great dog walker, super friendly.. Gives baths for an extra $10.. And half price for ea. additional dog on walks. She can also give any oral medication needed to your dog. In home check ups, Watering plants, checking mail all while your on vacation for additional $15 a day. Great service! No stress involved, just great care. |

They charged me for a 30 min walk but gave my dog two hours of play time. They dont charge too high or too low. They really pay attention to my dog and even post pictures on facebook of him. I love them and will always use them. |

A neighbor told me that her teenager daughter wanted to become a dog walker. But I found her making excuses why she couldn't walk my dog when my dog had a need to walk. She only walked my dog
three times for just a few minutes each time.
Her mom just wanted her daughter to walk the dog just once per day. So I said it was best for her daughter to quit taking my small dog for walks. I am a senior and I have medical problems and my dog is a senior too. She is so easy to walk. |
